My self-Reflection

I hate this course at the being of the semester, because I have to search for place to be volunteering in. I was tired from searching a group to be with and the place. After that we spoke to the teacher and he helps us by putting us in to groups and sent us to a lady, her name is Ashwiini and she organized the place for volunteering.

 I volunteered at Zayed Higher organization for Humanitarian Care in abilities me which was the first of its kind. It was unique experience, I have learned more things about disability people like I don’t have to help them or ask them for help unless they do. In addition they are smarter than us, and they are doing more things that some normal people can’t do it.

There are many benefits. First thing is making new friends and strengthen your relationships, especially if you are new to an area. Volunteering can provide a health boost to your self-confidence or self-esteem and life satisfaction .because you are doing a good for others and the community which provides a natural sense of accomplishment and can also give you a sense of pride and the better you feel about your self.one important thing that volunteering gives you the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace.

Finally, I would like to think my teacher and who try to help us in volunteering. This course was a great because I learned new thing in my life, which it help me to change my future vision of volunteering, and I ready to volunteer  in my free time to help the people and my country.

Ex: this project will help the students of Al Hosan School to develop their IT skills 

    We wanted to accomplish the instruction that the regulators gave us. Which resulted in an organized       exhibition.

              From 24^th of March to 26^th 10:00 am till 6 pm

6.    To be successful what need to be done?

Ex: In the end, students must be able to type 20wpm English typing. 

           Need to know how to deal with the people and be positive

           Try to ask about the thing that you don’t know. 

7.    What are the Benefits to the participants? (Both volunteers and recipients)

            Organized event and less paper work

            For volunteer, volunteering certificate, gain experience, feel confidence and meet new people from                     different countries.

               When I was in the conference there was a woman asked me about exhibition car parking payment,                     and I was confused because I don’t know the answer, then I told her to meet my supervisor.   

last day volunteer 26th of march

           26^th of March 14, 3^rd day of volunteer at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre.

While I was walking around and talking with my friends One of the participants in the exhibition, called us he needs some help because he has problem in his back so he cant stand for long time. Me and my friends went to his stands, he is a painter and he need us to packaging his paintings.

Here while we are packaging the paintings it was a nice work 

we were enjoying  while helping this gentleman.

magic carpet they made it for autism people.while you are walking over it, it will change the display, it shows you flower and many different things just to make autism people feel good.

I got a certificate from Zayed Higher Organization for volunteering in this exhibition and conference.that was a great experience in my life i really proud of what i have done and i am  ready to volunteer next time with ZHO or different place.

2ed day of volunteer, 25th of March 14

2ed day of volunteer, 25th of March 14. I arrived at ADNEC at 09:30;thirty minutes before the time just for arranging and do some preparation. 

At10:00am People start coming to the exhibition and went to bring booklets, brochures and registration paper, to give it for the visitors. After that a lot of visitors arrived and all of them they want to register their names not because of the conference, just for the certification. Moreover most people got upset when start to gave them a certificate without their names on it. Then we met UAE basketball handicapped players and we took a picture with them.The big events was the visit of His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the exhibition.
